So I have been stuck patiently waiting for my scores to improve with a loan at 17.25%. I decided to call DCU and ask a few questions and decided to apply over the phone. After providing all my information I was told I was approved for 1.49% 48 months.
I wasn't a member when I called so I quickly created a membership and e-mail all the details they wanted to their e-mail address. So my question is am I truly approved or what I don't want to get my hopes up but I would be thrilled to get my APR anywhere near this rate.
Anyone with DCU experience that maybe wasn't a member have some experience they can share?
Thanks,
Sam

Congrats! I was approved by them recently for the same APR (didn't take it, since the dealer offered me 0% promotional financing) and I'm not a member. AFAIK, they just won't disburse the funds until you're a member, but the loan is approved.
