Dcu rate??

I was pre approved@1.49for 65. Local cu has 1.48 for 48, does dcu still offer 1.24 ?? And if they do how do do you get it. Dcu fico from September 718

Currently, to my knowledge, 1.49% is the lowest available rate, and requires membership and direct payroll deposit.  Otherwise it is 1.99%.  I recently joined to get refinanced from 3.7% at FMC.

1.99 is still an amazing rate but by all means if you find lower, take it

I personally would rather avoid moving all my direct deposit over to dcu. Local cu offers 1.48 and doesn't require dd

I think you can get 1.24% with direct deposit, auto deduct from your account for the loan, and the energy effiecient bonus which is a car that gets 35 miles per gallon average, they have a list on their site.

I was just approved for 1.49% and just switched to dcu, just need to open bank account with direct deposit. The term that you have with your local cc,  is that 1.25 for 48 mos then variable interest thereafter? Also, can you pay a little more than the payment required and does the extra payment goes towards the interest or the principal. Just a thought. These are just the things that dcu rep explained to me that's why I decided to switched with them and not with my local cc. Also, local cc was higher interest and wouldn't match what dcu offers.  It was a no brainer.

I pay 50 more a month with DCU and the extra 50 goes straight to principle
