GM Financial Prequalification

I received a letter in the mail for a prequalification from GM Financial at a local Chevrolet dealership.  I checked and it says I was prequalified for $28,800.  I was wanting the near future to re-finance my Jeep Grand Cherokee for a lower interest rate and it some what lower that what I qualified for.  I had also considered trading in my Jeep Grand Cherokee for an upgraded version.  My question is, I was wondering if this would be a better deal to work with GM Financial and move to another vehicle with a lower interest rate?  I wouldn't know what they'd have comparable to a Jeep Grand Cherokee.  Or would it be better to pre-qualify somewhere else?

Re: GM Financial Prequalification

I got preapproved with CarMax through Ally Bank.  I think this may work better for me because I'll have more vehicle choices.
