hmmmm...I was in somewhat the same situtation...but then I applied auto laon at  GCTFCU. This credit union really helped me out. I think you must also consult them.

Hi! I was approved from a local credit union yesterday for 15000. I also have a very short credit history as well as 2 public records (old). My fico is 666.....tu 638. I was denied by SEVERAL , but credit union pulled through .....good luck
