Hard Pull Preapproval

Hi all,

Just had a preapproval that was a hard pull. I'm happy with the numbers/rate and want to proceed with the dealer. However, since it was a hard pull are the monthly numbers given during the preapproval process accurate?

If so, I can pull the trigger on a new car!

Re: Hard Pull Preapproval

Need a bit more info..

Which entity did the HP? Bank? CU? Dealer?

If they provided you with terms like APR and loan amount you are likely good to go. If it were me, I would call and confirm details.

Good luck

Re: Hard Pull Preapproval

Any preapproval has required elements such as loan to value, age of the car and mileage when used are involved so the terms are contingent on that so you need to read that carefully and make sure your in compliance.

Re: Hard Pull Preapproval

Finally got my answer yesterday. The bank did a hard pull and those numbers stayed when I finally went through the loan application, much to my relief. I drove off yesterday with my new car. Thanks to all for the help!
