How will paying off my 6 mo old credit builder impact my scores?

I opened a credit builder loan in 6/14. Since then I obtained a secured visa (SDFCU) and an unsecured Cap One Qui cksilver rewards card. So quite a few new accounts in the past 6-8 mos. I'm thinking the two CCs can age together for awhile. I also have 9 student loans reporting from 2000. AAoA is around 9 yrs.

Should I pay off the CB, or will it hurt too much? I'm going to be buying a car in the next month or 2. Don't want to cause a drop in my scores right before I app for auto loan.

Thanks everyone!!

Hi,  Do you have any other open installment loans?  I had a very similar situation as yours -- 2 CC's and a credit builder for six months.  When the credit builder paid off, my score dropped 40 points!!!  I wound up getting another one (this time for 4 years) and my score recovered in about 4 months.  I would NOT let it pay off till you get your auto loan.  Once you have that auto installment loan in place, you don't need the credit builder anymore since you will have an open installment loan for credit mix.  Paid installment loans do not count for this!
