Started my rebuild with USAA in March 2012 with two secured cards. Closed both secured cards November/December 2013. USAA has now approved me for $20,000 in unsecured credit cards and just today approved me for an auto loan up to $33,000 @ 5.25% on a used vehicle. Unfortunately, the rate is the same for a new car too, but hey I can't complain. I never expected a rate of 5.25% considering the auto loan that I just paid off today was at 11.24%. I let them talk me into getting prequalified for another auto loan during the same call to pay off an existing loan Debating whether to use loan or not, but I must say I am extremely happy. 2014 continues to be off to a great start. Let the good times roll.
Congrats!!

Who was your first loan with?

My first loan was with USAA at 11.4% interest. I paid it off after 9 months. Interesting enough, I called USAA because I was having a hard time finding something that I liked for the original loan amount and they approved me up to $46,200 at 4.74% for up to 84 months. USAA is great for rebuilders such as myself once you have proven yourself to them. I know based on other comments that USAA is a first rate institution and I'm now reaping the rewards for all the hard work that I've put in these last two years. I still have a long way to go, but USAA has been right there with me since day one.
