Is there any real chance of a fulltime college student with a part time income and no cosigner getting a lease on a bottom of the line new car? With a credit profile that consists of only a previous student loan - account is seven years old & is in good standing?

Definitely. I was and still am a fulltime college student two years when I was approved for my 2011 Mazda3 lease. My monthly income at the time was roughly $1200 a month. My credit history was less than 2 years with a mix of student loans and 3 or 4 credit cards.
Hope that bit of info helps!
