Joint application for car loan

My husband has excellent credit (over 800) and mine is around 650.  We just applied for a car loan w/ him as primary and myself as co-applicant.  It's for a 17K w our combined income of over 100k and 2500 down.  My question is will my score drastically affect our loan options. The dealer wasn't too worried about this, but I'm stressing out about it.  My husband can be on the loan alone, but I would like to be on it since it is a car for me.

Re: Joint application for car loan

I don't think so. I bought a new Mustang in 2004. At the time, I had horrible credit. My dad cosigned, and I believe my rate was around 7.9%. Not the best rate, no, but not bad enough that I wouldn't want to do it. It helped my credit a lot. (Of course, then the economy went to crap, I lost my job, and I'm back to square 1.)
