Re: Loan or no loan?

May I suggest you NOT plan to go to Wells Fargo. Go to whomever has the lowest rates. Wells Fargo has never had the best rates of any service. They even get beat by foreign ATMs at currency exchange.

I recently refinanced with a credit union and am paying 3.35%. We refinanced the house AWAY from WF, with no closing costs, down to 3.89% with Key Bank. The local credit union doesn't allow extra payment to forward the next required payment day, which is something nearly every lender I have used in the past did. I miss that feature. Ally does it. Capital One Auto does it.

Put as much cash to the downpayment and carry a small loan, you wont lose out on a losing investment such is an auto loan but will establish good credit with the small loan amount..
