App'd with NFCU since they had promos for this past week...and BOOM locked in 3.9% APR...Man I love NFCU!
Congrats!!!
Congrats! I just became a member there and can't wait until my bk is discharged! I hear they are very bk friendly.
I just completed a short sale after company relocation to other state forced sale. NFCU held mortgage. I was completly cooperative with them. All other loans with NFCU paid in full or current (3 autos current). After closing, NFCU closed my savings account and is prohibiting me from making loan payments in usual and customary way. There slogan is once a customer, always a customer only applies so long as they are making money off of you. This is true of all financial, not just NFCU. ME, I' am going to straight cash. No mortgage, no car notes, nothing.

I did a vehicle refi with them in march and got $250 cash back... wonderful deal!
Like many CUs, NFCU cross-secures everything. Also, some lenders that are generous with limits and credit are the most rutyhless if you don't hold up your side of the deal. If they lost money on your short sale you are probably going to be phased out as a customer as your loans are retired.
