If you truly want to wake her up go have the truck appraised at Carmax or another facility and get the offer in writing.

Then show her how far you are willing to go to sell the truck.

Even if it's a bluff, you will have some kind of evidence in hand that you "could" make it go away with zero hope of getting it back.

Sadly, she doesn't get it.  We took the truck and are waiting to sell it still.  My husband is ready to do a voluntery surrender.  He figured it would really only affect me for a few years and we could weather the storm.  No one is buying right now and it seems like we are throwing good money out the window on payments.  Her sisters are super mad at her and so our many of our family members.  On both sides of the family, we have always helped when needed and never been screwed.  The odds of us helping her anytime in the future have decreased drasically.  The auction place near us said trucks are going that high right now.  So, we have to decide what we are going to do with this thing.
