Back in 2003 I made a couple late payments on my car note. (Rough times) The car has been paid off since 2004. By the beginning of next year it will be 7 years. Isn't that when they are suppose to remove old accounts? Is it even really hurting my score since it's old?
It's not helping your score, but at this point it is not killing it either. The damage was done at the time. Your Auto enhanced FICO will probably still be putting a decent weight on it though.
