2015 fell on hard times and got behind on wifes car. It was out for repo and was able to come up with some money and was interested in keeping the vehicle. Capital One gave opportunity to pay lower amount owed and charge off the rest. received 1099 and was able to keep the car.
This year, I am going to have to purchase a new 2nd vehicle. We have done decent job cleaning up credit and scores are 620 range. Only negative is student loan that will be rehabed in June and the paid charge off auto loan with Capital One.
Did dispute and paid auto charge off with Capital One was not removed. My question is what can I expect when I go to purchase new car. My car is paid off but just hit 200k miles. Not in huge hurry.
