I thought I started a thread on this already and looked for it, but could not find it. Hmmm, so please forgive me if this is repetative.
Currently I have an offer from Capital One for a refinance on my current car loan - which is a wopping 10.75% interest! They are offering to lower this to 6.29% - which equates to a $43 per month drop for my payment and I'll save approximately $3500 in interest over the course of the loan. They are offering this at 60 months - which is what I have left on my current loan. So given that I am a bit new to this, is this something I should contemplate or should I wait a bit longer until my scores are higher? (Currenlty 635, 629, 637).
Another thought is, I don't really want any additional HP's on my report. We are looking to purchase a house in 9-10 months so I want to help my scores, not hurt them as much as possible before then.
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!
