RoadLoans question

Hey guys, I recently got approved for a car loan with road loans, when I was approved it had my preferred dealer as a Carmax dealer, I'm not interested in Carmax at all, so I was initially able to change my preferred dealer to different reputable dealers in the area, but later when I tried to view more dealers for research..the prompt came up saying "the option to change your dealer is unavailable at this time, please call a loan specialist during business hours" Does anyone have any experience with this? Does this mean I just have to use Carmax now? I can't understand why my options to choose disappeared.

Re: RoadLoans question

You can call them and they can tell you other dealers in their network in your area.

Okay so you don't think I'm confined to just one dealer right? I was just wondering if that's how they operate because I saw all the dealers before..it just seemed as if they were taking my opportunity to change away.

Re: RoadLoans question

No, but you have to tell them you would like to know the other local dealers in their network because they will just tell you one but that is not the only one.  I got approved for them a long time ago but decided not to use them, for no particular reason. I don't even remember why I didn't but I know I called a few times to find different dealers because they did not have the car I was looking for at the first 2 dealers they told me.

Also, when you changed dealers you will have to log in online and get the same paper work with the other dealers name on it.
