Re: Should I hang on a bit?

I personally think used car prices are inflated at the moment. But that's just my 2 cents. If you want some pointers on negotiating/how to not get ripped off, here's my write up on that:

Re: Should I hang on a bit?

In the long run it would be nice to have check in hand show up and not have to play all the games they want to play...

Re: Should I hang on a bit?

You could do exactly that if you want with a NFCU approval. If you decide you don't want them running your credit and you're set on NFCU, freeze your reports so they can't pull. They'll claim they wont pull a hard or it's the Patriot Act or something, they WILL pull hard if not frozen. In most states it costs $10/bureau to freeze. TO unfreeze like a month or two later, it'll cost another $10/bureau. But well worth it imo if you decide you'll surely use your own financing. If they give you any trouble, just say look, are you going to sell me a car or should I go to the next dealer? If they ask why frozen, just say due to the target thing months ago Smiley Wink

Re: Should I hang on a bit?

So I did a pre approval with NFCU.  I was approved!

But... I dont know what the rates are yet.   Freaking email they sent me could have had just a bit more information...
