Does anybody know which banks/ finance comanies or loan companies use TransUnion? I want to purchase a car for the lowest possible interest rate and my TransUnion report is my highest score right now.
Well, as of late Feb 2008 when I last pulled my free annual reports from www.annualcreditreport.com my TU had multiple soft pulls from Discover, Wells Fargo, and Citibank.
VW PULLS TU. Check whogavemecredit.com
TU uses the EMPIRICA scoring system, which has a wider range (150-934) compared to FICO (300-850) / BEACON (340-820) scoring - which is why it appears TU's rating you higher.

As does RBFCU (Texas)
I'm in Oregon and Chase used TU - Subaru uses Chase.
What I did was call around all the dealers, asked to talk to the Finance Manager (no one else would know) and asked which report they pulled, and whether they used regular FICO or auto-enhanced FICO.
My TU was WAYYY higher, and somehow, by some miraculous occurance, the dealer talked the local credit union into going w/ my TU score even though they use EQ!
Good Luck.
