What FICO score do you need for a NEW car auto loan?

When I went for my mortgage they took my middle fico score.  Now I am looking to finance a new car.  My Equifax FICO score is only 676.  My other two scores are over 723.

For an auto loan to get a good rate, do all 3 of your FICO scores need to be over 700?  I heard that GMAC wants scores over 700 to even get an auto loan today.

Do auto loans take your LOWEST score to rate you? or do they take the middle score like a mortgage?

I would like to know before I go into a dealer so I know what to expect.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

No they don't require all three scores for auto purchase. Dealerships use one score and every dealership is different. If your TU & EX scores are over 720 I'd be looking at dealers that offer 0% apr and pull TU or EX. Don't go to a dealership on Saturdays!
