credit report at car dealership

Do the car salesman that your working with actually see your credit report or do they get told what to do by the manager. Curious about whether or not the salesman can see it or if its someone else

im sure this can vary by dealear but usually the salesman sees the report and at a minimum knows your fico score and any stips so they can match you to a vehicle

Just to get an idea of what you're looking at and before dealer pullers your credit how about telling him/her your up to date FICO scores?

myFico Score Equifax: Start (4/30/14) 694 Current (5/6/16) 838
myFico Score Transunion Start (5/01/2014) 727 Current (5/7/16) 842

It's smart to get pre-approved by your CU before going into the delaer, and then you can negotiate on price alone.  And once you have a deal you can always let them try to beat the rate from your CU.

I like Penfed, nobody has been able to beat them yet.
