Re: going to the dealer today.

You'll need to be more specific about the configuation to get a reasonable estimate.  Have you looked here?

You should also get the VIN and run a CarFAX report before buying.

Good luck!!  :smileyhappy:

$14k looks like a good price to me. Let me guess, they tried to charge you $18k?

Too many INQs & low AAoA so I'm off to tend the Garden.     Age:21

Carfax reports are not reliable whatsoever. Trust me.

I'm a personal banker and do a lot of auto loans serving the Houston area.
I suggest first time car buyers to read the sticky guide in the auto loan section.
I try to check these forums often, but if I missed your post, please feel free to message me with a link to it.

Haha yup, carfax isn't reliable. Although, nothing wrong with a car that had past body damage as long as it was fixed right and you got a discount for the past history.

I was at a dealer a couple months ago. They had just gotten a car on trade, and it had all kinds of body damage. Basically the salesman and I concluded that the dealer was going to do an in house hack job, and the car will never have a ding on the carfax but it will have all kinds of poorly repaired body damage.
