Can a credit card company turn you down for a CC 25 plus years after your BK?

I applied for a card and in the reason for denial (as Stated in the letter) I had a BK and didn't get the card..

I pulled my credit report to see what was going on and did not find any bad information.. I also

called and was told the same thing.. They said No again due to the BK.

Current Score: 747 to 791
Goal Score: 800+ for all

Maybe someone else knows if Citi blacklists. It sounds like it from your experience. I have a BK too, but I thought it was because my BK was recent (2008)

BK falls off your CR but is always on your public record. When I worked an auto dealership several people with 15+ year BK got axed by certain finance companies over BK despite spotless CR's & great scores. So yeah it's always possible that the info is "available". It's depressing really to think about.

40 pt climb in 1 year with 3 positive TLs (school loan, auto loan & 1 credit card)

could be blacklisted especially if you included citi in your bk
