Well, you know how MyFico gives you like 75 different scores on the 3 report subscription thing?
Well, one of my 75 scores - the Transunion Auto Score 4 is exactly 700!
It's particularly funny because my Experian Auto Score was in the 500s earlier today (it's now updated and > 650 after buying a fresh set of scores today)
I'm not about to go out and buy a car, but it sure is nice to see a 700 in there somewhere. I haven't followed the routine. I used a chunk of my newly established credit in an emergency and have been paying it down ardently. I also purchased a new vehicle. I have 3 cards, maybe 15K in revolving credit, about 25% of that is showing on my reports, but the bills have actually been paid down to 0%, so next month I will see a few points of a boost.
My Fico Simulator shows my best course of action is to pay down my cards over the next 2 years and even then the result is 687 (for Fico 8). I'm not sure if I need more accounts or if I just need to pay my car down to 80% or what, but somehow, some way I will get my Fico 8 to 700 sometime in the next 5 months!
Congrats on getting your auto score to 700. Right now the most important part of your score is factored by utilization. Keeping one card reporting less than 10% and all others at 0 will optimize your FICO score. Remember credit is a marathon not a race! Keep up the good work
