My husband and I just filed Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, we wanted to keep our house and vehicles; otherwise we would have qualified for a Chapter 7....

Anyway, what steps do we need to take to make sure we are able to repair our credit and get ourselves in a position to refinance our current Mortgage.  

How soon can we try to refinance our Mortgage?  Will the bankruptcy have to be discharged since it is a Chapter 13?

Any changes to your current profile (refinancing, attaining new cards etc) will have to be approved by your trustee. Typically, it is more difficult to get approvals while your in BK.

I think FHA requires you to be 2 years into your 13 to refinance. Make sure to keep all checks showing on time payment's to the trustee.
