Auto Contract question

Maybe not the right forums, but you guys are smart.

I had purchased GAP insurance and a maintenance plan on last two cars.  When I had traded in vehicles in the past that have had these add-ons, I got a credit back (and went towards down payment).  Now that I am surrendering the two cars on Thursday and the accounts were IIB, can I call the GAP provider to cancel and get a refund of the balance or is it null and void given the contract is voided for being IIB?

Thoughts?

Re: Auto Contract question

The insurance provider is an independent entity and the insurance is tied to your ownership of the auto. Once you no longer own the auto, regardless of reason, I would expect a prorated refund of my premium.

Re: Auto Contract question

So, I guess I'll be calling them after I get them repossed on Thursday.  Won't be much, but it would be nice.

I figured since it was rolled into my loan, since the loan is not being paid off of with a trade/new loan, then I would forfeit that money.
