BK Drop off date

I filed BK7 in March 2002. My question is should I see the BK drop off in February 2012 or March 2012?

I'm close to applying for a mortgage and I would rather have if fall off first.

Re: BK Drop off date

I filed BK7 in May 2002. My credit report states it will fall off in April 2012. There have been a few people posting here that stated it came off a couple of months early. I have quarterly TU reports and my latest, December 30, still has the public record listed. By the way, i was approved for a $192k mortgage in may 2007 and a $280k mortgage in November 2011. I also refinanced my mortgage from 2007 in July and received a 15 year 4.25% (that was the best rate at the time.) You may still want to wait, but i don't think it will help you get a better rate.

Starting Score 5/1/2002: 553
Current Score 5/30/2012: 785 (EQ FICO)
Current Score 10/2/2012: 803 (TU FICO)
Goal Score: 800

Thanks to both of you! That is certainly encouraging. Congrats on the financing as well. 10 years is a long, long time, but I'm glad its just about over.:smileyhappy:

Re: BK Drop off date

Thanks! Don't worry, the time will come for you as well. What I would say is don't wait to start rebuilding. I waited until about 1 1/2 years ago to start and I should have started sooner. By the time it drops, you will be in great shape!
