Just approved for the NFCU nRewards card at $500.  I have three other cards, but none are reporting yet, so as far as NFCU knows, they are the first to extend credit to me.  My discharge still isn't a month old until tomorrow.

Congrats on the approval! I know you were hoping for more but just remember NFCU will grow with us! Seems like every three months is a good spot to ask for a CLI! Congrats again, I know the feeling!

Re: Bankruptcy friendly credit cards

Have you tried calling your local banks and unions to see they offer secured cards?  I know that you can apply for a First Progress secured credit card.

Re: Bankruptcy friendly credit cards

I've been lurking in these forums for months and finally decided to post!

Anyway - my husband and I filed Chapter 7 BK on 1/30/13, had creditor meeting 3/8/13 and I was approved for Capital One card on 3/11/13 for $300. We both have secured credit cards through our bank (Armed Forces Bank/Academy Bank) for $300, approved on 3/12/13. My credit scores are Experian - 630, Equifax - 529, Transunion - 529. I am awaiting discharge and formal paperwork so I can start the tedious process of correcting numerous things on my credit reports as some are not even being listed as included in the BK.
