Can't file bankruptcy if unemployed?

If you have no major assets, it's so easy to do this on your own. I even got my fiing fee waived and I had a part time job. The basic thing you need is a "Nolo How to file  chapter 7 bankruptcy book for dummies" and just follow the instructions. I even filed a skeleton petition first. Then I filed the rest within days. It's really easy. The only part that takes a little bit of time is just following the instructions and listing your schedules and creditors and stuff. Then just take the documents down to the courthouse. That Nolo book is a godsend.

i had no problems with calling lawyers and telling them my situation and that i wanted to file a chapter 7 BK they all told me to come on in!!
