Ch. 13 Discharge

Could someone please tell me how long it takes to receive your discharge after all payments have been made?

Glad to have you on the forums.

We made our last payment in December 08 and received our discharge in February 09.

Seemed like forever at the time, though.

Congrats on being discharged - I like to remind folks that most people don't complete their CH 13's - so getting a discharge is an accomplishment.  You'll find lots of good advice on these boards for rebuilding - hope you stick around!

Thanks a lot for that info. Will lack of a discharge cause me to still have to get permission from Trustee to buy a home or am I good to go because I have paid all out?

You're still under the Trustee's thumb until you're discharged. 

Don't mess up - you'll wind up with a dismissed BK even though you paid in full.

Sit tight and get the discharge.
