Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

I have been in a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy since 12/09.  I have an auto loan with HSBC Finance, now serviced by Santander which is included in my bankruptcy.  Just pulled my credit report and HSBC charged off my account and is reporting me as being delinquent.  My car loan wasn't behind when I filed but my Trustee has made no payments except interest in almost a year.  Can HSBC charge off my account while I'm in a bankruptcy and report me as being delinquent?

Re: Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

It's very common to have accounts report incorrectly when you're in bankruptcy.

Dispute with the CRA that this account should read "IIB".

One thing we learned is to keep your reports accurate while you're in BK - we waited until after we discharged and then had several months worth of work to get everything reporting correctly.

Best wishes to you on completing your bk!  And keeping your reports accurate at the same time!  Smiley Wink
