What does the trustee do after your last payment and before your discharge? Why does it take so long?
Well, firsts, congrats on paying off your CH 13!!! Most folks who file 13 do not complete the program - it's rigorous. So super kudos to you!
It takes a few months from last payment to discharge. When was your last payment paid? and when was it due? (like if you paid it June 1st but it wasn't due till June 29th, I'd start the countdown as of June 29th).
Can you view your account online? They often post something there, as well.
Nevertheless it still seems to take a few long long months. I think ours took 8-10 weeks. Seemed like forever, but I rarely remember that now.
