Chapter 7 discharged over 2 years

Can they still use this for a reason to deny you if you are over 2 years and its successfully discharged?

Yes.

Lenders can and will use the BK against you as long as it is reporting.  If you included that lender in your bankruptcy, they can use it against you forever.

There is a range of what different lenders will do; some will let you in the day after discharge and others will lock you out for seven years or 10 years or more.

But you are not home free at two years.
