How much did it cost using an attorney from start to finish to complete the BK process? we are thinking chp 7 would be best..married couple..in texas..havent reached out to an attorney yet..still searching for reccomendations

Any where from 800 to 2500 pp and 1500 to 3000 pc , this seems to be the avg here in pa

I'm in Maine and mine cost $2100 including the lawyer and filing fee. Shop around though, I got prices from 1800 to 2500. DONT go cheap though. You want. Lawyer you're comfortable with and who is accessible.
Was ready to put down payment with one lawyer and he didn't respond to an email for 3 days. Went to my lawyer and she was prompt and courteous.
Bottom line, shop around and find someone you can afford and also feel comfortable with.

Agree with jmclaughlin. Shop around. I talked to about 3 different attorneys, visited two. First one I visited seem good, but she wanted $2750. Thought it was a bit high, went to talk to another highly reviewed attorney, and they were even better than the first attorney, and wanted $2000. From what I remember, when filing as a couple, it was just a few hundred more. I'm also located in TX, in the DFW area. Where are you located?
