Eek! Just got 1st SW IIB update!

So I got a SW alert that an account had changed and when I logged on it says Figis updated to $0 and IIB when my 341 was only two days ago.  Does SW not give you an updated score with each change?  Do I have to keep buying new scores?  I could go broke!

Starting Score: 11/29/12 TU 527; EQ 565; EX 564 fako - bk7 dc'd 2/15/13
Current Score: 1/22/15 TU 645; EQ 605; EX 633 New goal 675
Cap1 sec $1k (SD) / Fingerhut $2k / Flagship $12k / cashRewards $12k / NavChek $15k / Amazon $2k / Von Maur $1k / Firestone $2.2k / BCU $3k / NFL $1k / QS1 $750 / Target $400 / PPSC $800 / Conoco $700 (last app 09/29/14)

Re: Eek! Just got 1st SW IIB update!

You don't need a score every time something corrects itself.

If you want to track scores, take your current score - go into your SW settings and under "Whenever your FICO® score reaches a target score of" - change that and put in your current score +1 point.

Every time you get a new score, go back and continue to do the same +1

Aha!  Thank you for the tip.  I knew there had to be an easier way.

Re: Eek! Just got 1st SW IIB update!

Whenever you receive a credit alert, like a status change in an account, SW will grab your latest EQ FICO regardless of where your target score is set at. So, your FICO didn't change due to the update if your score is the same.

Rather than a +1 setting, I do recommend setting it to EXACTLY equal your latest EQ FICO. If your CR isn't changing, SW will default to providing a score alert as opposed to a credit alert. Your EQ FICO is monitored for changes every 7-10 days provided there are no credit alerts, and will only provide a score change if your current score hits or surpasses your target score. In other words, if you set your target score to +1, you'll get a score alert if your new score hit one point or more higher. However, what would happen if your score dropped? You wouldn't get a score alert if there wasn't a credit alert behind it. If you set it to exactly match your current EQ FICO, then you'll get alerted if your score increases or decreases. BTW, just don't set it to a lofty score of 800 like I did. Couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting any score alerts back in the day when my EQ FICO was in the 500s.

Re: Eek! Just got 1st SW IIB update!

Thank you!

I just got another update that 3 more medical collections have updated to IIB, but again no score change.  I'm confused.  I thought once the balances updated to 0, that there had to be some movement, either up or down.

Not for collections or judgments. It doesn't matter if you owe $0 or $10,000, the damage is equal. Paying a CA off will never help your score.

exactly.....don't expect movement with every little change.  In reality, those are really small changes.  You may see change a month after you first 341 meeting - the important part now is not really your score - but making sure the credit bureaus are reporting everything accurately.  You'll see a lot of account changes from here till discharge.

Re: Eek! Just got 1st SW IIB update!

Okay, so what is going on?  I called TU to dispute a couple of items and he couldn't find either of them on my report, even though I was looking at the report I pulled on 11/30 with both accounts clearly there.  I haven't received any sort of scorewatch alert regarding these accounts.  Is scorewatch just slow?

Yes, I know, but I monitor TU from this site, so shouldn't I be getting timely updates?  If I'm not going to I'm going to cancel the service.
