I filed for Ch 7 bankruptcy in Dec. 2012. At around that time my fico score was 438. I was discharged on April 11. I just checked my score and it is now 547. So excited. I opened up two secured personal loans with state department federal credit union and am in the process of opening two secured cards with navy federal. Then I will pay and watch my score continue to rise. All debt has been properly reflected as included in bankruptcy. Very excited.

Grats man, been in your shoes. (I once was at 415 a long time ago!) Time heals all wounds. Keep grinding!

So after your discharge you saw a jump? I just filed last week and am so anxious to get this over with and move forward. You give me hope!
