Experian reporting Late Payments AFTER bankruptcy discharged

My Chapter 7 bankruptcy was discharged in July 2009, Experian has continued to report late payments after that date on several accounts.

The accounts are reported as CLOSED

The balances are all ZERO

The Status is:  Debt included in or discharged through Bankruptcy Chapter 7, 11, or 12

Here's one example:

LATE:  25 times (Dec 2013, Nov 2013, Oct 2013, Sep 2013, Aug 2013, Jul 2013, Jun 2013, May 2013, Apr 2013, Mar 2013, Feb 2013, Jan 2013, Dec 2012, Nov 2012, Oct 2012, Sep 2012, Aug 2012, Jul 2012, Jun 2012, May 2012, Apr 2012, Mar 2012, Feb 2012, Jan 2012, Dec 2011)

How do I go about getting this corrected? It's really hurting my score.

Thank you.

Re: Experian reporting Late Payments AFTER bankruptcy discharged

The only thing I could suggest is you dispute them as IIB, even though that's the status that's already showing.

I'm not 100% on this but - the bureaus only report what they're told by the original creditor. By disputing these, it forces the OC to give them a true and real report.

Experian can be disputed online at http://www.experian.com/disputes/how-to-dispute.html

The site requires you to start with a copy of your credit bureau so you can enter the number into their form. If you've not done your annual free credit report go to the Federal Trade Commission's website to request it - that web address is: http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0155-free-credit-reports

And make sure this is the site you go to for a copy of your free report. Others say they give a free report, but you're forced into signing up for their monthly (costly) service to get the report and then it's a nightmare to get it cancelled.
