Ok im about 6weeks post dc, received a pre approval from First premier the terms: 700 credit limit reduced by 175.00 AF, 25 processing fee 36% APR when card arrives CL will be 525.00. I know the terms are outrageous but in the rebuilding phase is this a taker? At least for the first year? Would or did you guys take this offer? my fico score will not move AT ALL . It is stuck at 553.. Reports clean so far I open Capital One credit steps for 300 billed 24 for small purchase PIF, credit Builder loan, problem is they are not reporting yet.

Wait until they start reporting - at least six months. Better doors will open for you, possibly Barclays for average credit w/ a recon if you don't get it. I would rather go with CreditOne than First Premier. I know it's tempting but you should wait it out. Here's a pair of gloves, shovel, and rake.... you know what to do

I agree. I would not accept that offer. I was discharged 12/2011 and I received those offers as well. I made sure I avoided first premier and credit one entirety. My first card also was the capital one credit steps with 500 credit limit. I got it raised to 1500 after the first year and also after 6 months of usage I got the capital one cash rewards card with 1000 credit limit which I got it increased to 3000 within the first year. You should just be patient and avoid those types of predatory lenders.
