What are the advantages of the NFCU ? My dad was retired Navy and I just got off the phone with them and they say I qualify to join with my Dad's information. All be in my name but with his service and his retirement it makes his children eligible to join. She did way upon joining it will do a hard credit pull but just the once but gosh I hate losing those points as I have 763 on Experian and 758 on Transunion and 717 on Eq and just had a bracket jump that cost me 7 points. She said it was so worth it with car loans, mortagages and CC rates and CL with them.
Should I do this or not ? I am looking to buy a house in the next 3-6 months and I need every point i can get. Lender has already told me that as long as middle number is 740 I am good to go. Only thing holding me back now is income but I hope to get that inline soon and get the property I live on as it has 900 in rental income but I can not count it until it has been mine or paid to me for 1 year.

NFCU is generous when it comes to credit limits that is why everyone loves them. There is a very large thread about them on the credit card forum. If you are app'ing for a home in six moths I say wait til after closing then jump on board. With your scores you may easily get cc with 25k and LOC for max of $15k.
However NFCU is HP happy. They may have HP me just for this reply. Lol
Good luck!
