It's good to see how well people are doing after a BK.
Thank you, Siopao! Checking up on our case stats via our Trustee's website and watching our balance owed slooooowwwwly diminish is the way I remind myself that we can indeed get through it. Approval for the card today is exciting because it's my first rebuilding activity. Not gonna lie - a 5 yr Ch13 is painful, but we're weathering the storm a lot better than I thought we would on the day we filed.

Same here, Siopao. Had I started reading these a while ago, I would've felt less apprehensive and stressed about our BK.
We made our final payment to our Trustee on Saturday! Crossing fingers now that their audit doesn't find any addtional monies owed. Discharge papers, according to someone I spoke with at the Trustee's office, will come 6-8 weeks after they receive our final payment.

it is a relief... and we are breathing a bit easier. we'll really be celebrating when we see the discharge on pacer. fingers crossed that it really does take 8 weeks and not longer.

update: discharged exactly 8 weeks after her receipt of our last payment. we are so glad to get that over with, to put it mildly. we bought a car to replace the ailing 2001 model, and plan to buy another to replace the 2004 we just sold. after that, keep our noses clean then refi the house.
