I forgot to mention....go to your local credit union and ask about a credit builder loan as well. They'll front the loan and deposit it into an account, which is blocked until you make payments. With mine the money frees up right after I make a payment too! Make a $90 payment and $85 is available immediately!
High rate though, if you have like $1000 you might do a secured loan instead. Mine has a 3.15% rate. I walked in with $1000 deposited it, signed the loan paperwork, and they gave me $1000 check. Haha. Pay $85 a month and at the end I get the $1000.
