High FICO and Bankruptcy

Bankruptcy discharged in November 2002. Since then I have had flawless credit history culminating in FICO scores  in the 725 to 735 range. Yet with the bankruptcy on my credit report what good is it? My FICO might as well be in the 400s with the way lenders view me.

Re: High FICO and Bankruptcy

For credit cards, many will not even do a manual review, just make their decision on your score - so you should have no trouble getting a credit card or 3.

For mtg's or auto loans, you are not looking hard enough.  Just interview them before applying.   Tell them your story, 5.5 years out of a BK and a spotless credit history since....I think this qualifies you for alot more than you think.  Especially with 720+ scores.
