If you are looking for a good credit card, you must wait 2 years and 1 month after discharged bankruptcy to get approved. Even if you have the required fico score to get the card, most banks have a policy that they cannot approve your new account unless it has been longer than 2 years.
Ex. BK discharged 10/17/05
Do not apply in October of 2007, you will get denied. Apply in November, only then you can get approved. I know this because I speak to alot of people in the banking business.
Now you can get other repair cards with annual fees and low credit limits, but those cards suck.
Just some advise, make sure that the card you receive reports credit limits, this will improve your fico, cards like Capital one, do not report limits so every ballance you have, shows fico your maxed out.
