How many times can you file Ch 13?

Hello:

I am curious to know how many times one can file Ch 13 in a year.

Both times it has been dismissed, as I am trying to stop a foreclosure (automatic stay) and complete a short sale.

Are there different state laws, or is it a federal law?

I think as many times as it takes for the ch 13 to stick but I would consult legal advice good luck .

i believe once every 7 years no there is not a limit
