I never would have thought that my wife and I would ever file for BK. And if you ask most of our "friends" they would say we were lying if we told them we filed. It was a decision that we waited 2 years to finally say enough was enough. It was a very difficult decision. Pride played a huge factor in not filing sooner. You have already spoken with an attorney so I am sure he has spoken with you about your state exemptions. Fortunately for us, from the outside everything looks exactly the same. Our kids and even our family members have no idea. But my wife and I know that this was not easy. It put a major strain on our relationship but we stayed strong and had a united front. We are in a Financial Course at church so that we will hopefully not put ourselves in this situation again.

Our church does not offer the Financial Peace University but I have read Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover. Someone did give us the Course Materials for FPU though. The information is pretty much the same but it was a little outdated because it came with casette tapes
