You will check association and write Navy League/San Dieg...

[ Edited ]

You will check association and write Navy League/San Diego chapeter.

Be honest on everything on the application, because they will be reviewing every line.

Make sure you include a copy of the welcome letter from the Navy League. It shows you in the San Diego chapter on page 2 toward the bottom.

When I joined, the associate filled everything out for me. I only had to sign it.

You don't have to wait for discharge in order for Chex to update you. Fax them your filing and a request to clear you record. They work quickly.

BK7 Discharge 1/16

10/15 ~ EQ: 406; TU: 520

3/17 ~ EQ: 560; TU: 582; EX: 588

Should you wait for a BK7 to discharge? Or does NFCU take applicants who are in the process of BK7?

You can obtain membership before you are discharged.. You just can't apply for any loans/credit cards until you are discharged. I applied for a secured card before my report showed "discharged" and they made me send them my discharge papers before they would approve.

Re: How to join NCFU and rebuild as a civilian the right way

Thanks for the detailed explanation. How long did it take to get the welcome email from Navy League? Perhaps processing is different on weekends...I'm sure I didn't enter the wrong emai twice LOL
