I'm an "authorized User" of my wifes credit cards. Will she be effected.

I'm preparing to file for Chapter 13. I'm an "Authorized User" of my Wife's premium credit cards. My wife has steller credit and will not be filling with me. The cards are listed on my credit report. Is their anyway she or the cards can be affected? If so, what steps should I take prior to filing to avoid her or the cards being affected?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I would have yourself removed as an AU before filing.

First, the issuers probably subscribe to notification services, will note your filing, and may take adverse action against your wife.

Second, be careful about the rules on taking on debt without Trustee approval in Ch 13, and in general intertwining your wife's cards.  That just strikes me as a way to get trouble you don't need.

Once you complete your BK13 you can resume the AU status.
