Inquiry cause increase in score?

My fido alert just notified me of increase of 15 points, I checked the recent activity the only thing new was an inquiry. Anybody else have experience with this?

I'm thinking there has to be something else going on like anniversary for app spree, AAoA, or etc.  I haven't read about anyone's FICO going up from inquiry.  However, I have read of a few people's FICO going up after the new TL reported, because of the decrease in utilization.  Did you also pay down/off balances and have a change in utilization?

Those alerts are a joke ... just my opinion. Focus your attention on the robustness of your overall credit profile and you'd be much better off in the long run.
