Very crazy! I love seeing the old posts about Cap1 and how they NEVER give CLI's, oh how things change
How much credit history does Penfed like to see for approval? I will be one year post discharge in October. I'm looking ahead to April 2017 to apply for the Promise card. I financed my current vehicle through them but it's been paid off for two years now. Hoping that will weigh in my favor.

People are approved as early as a couple months post d/c
I was approved a couple of days ago for Pen Fed membership and a Thrifty Line of credit for $500, and my discharge was May 2016. I have a Discover IT card for $1,400 and a share secured loan for $1,000 with another CU, approved post bk. My Fico EQ is 651, but PEN Fed told me the EQ score they used was 564. Not sure how I got the LOC approved with that score.
Recon.....you should get a survey too. Let them know your disappointment. It has worked for many. I received a 7.5k prvs card from Penfed a little over 4 yrs file date, not through recon, but it can be done.
