Can a default judgment already filed and recorded in public records be removed by the plaintiff/creditor before it is satisfied? I am going to write a settlement proposal to pay this judgment in monthly installments over a period of a few years (I owe $17000.00)but I wish to add some conditions. I was wondering if I could request in the proposal that the judgment be pulled from public records by the creditor while I am fulfilling my monthly obligations to them or is it too late and once it's recorded there is no way even the creditor can pull it.
