I would wait until after the Trustee meeting before applying for any credit. But it should update automatically but if you want to spped up the process and start disputing your accounts online that have not been updated. I would not suggest that except with EQ becuase you can dispute online at anytime, however many times you want with EQ. EX you have to purchase a credit report and you can only dispute an account online ONE time. If they verify the account is correct then you are stuck with it, unless you dispute the old fashioned way(US MAIL) with documentation. TU is in between EQ and EX in regards to the online disputing.

I disagree about starting to rebuild during your bankruptcy.
Just wait until its actually discharged and then check your cr reports to see how everything is reporting. There is a lot of activity during those months and you may as well wait until you are after discharge to see how everything will land before you dispute. JMO based on my experience.

I was planning on waiting for my BK to discharge and then sign up for scorewatch to see how everything panned out. At that point i would make sure things are reporting correctly and then apply for new credit slowly. Sound like a good plan?

Hey everyone, hope you all are having a good weekend! I had a question relating to credit cards and rebuilding after my chap7. I kept a Cap1 credit card that has a $0 balance through my BK, it has a $500 limit and I have had it since 11/2005 (4 30 days late only) I see that Cap1 is the first card that everybody reccomends after BK but I was wondering what I should do in my case since I already have a Cap1 card. Would applying for another through them still be my best bet, or a different card? Thanks in advance!
